Tommy and Scootie locked eyes. Only minutes ago, he wouldn't have believed that he could ever have felt such a kinship with the Labrador as he felt now.

About This Quote

Two boys, Tommy and Scootie, were each other's best friends. They had never felt such a kinship as they felt now. One day, Tommy and Scootie were playing in the park when another boy, Timmy, approached them. He was a bully who had been tormenting Tommy and Scootie for a long time.

He was a very large boy with a high-pitched voice that made him sound even more frightening. Tommy and Scootie tried to play along with Timmy, but he soon became too much to bear. Before long, Timmy was beating the two boys up.

“Leave us alone!” begged Tommy as he lay on the ground being kicked by Timmy. “Why should we?” growled Timmy as he kicked Tommy again. "Leave us alone!" Once more, Timmy kicked Tommy in the stomach, causing him to double over in pain.

“I didn't do anything to you!” said the terrified Tommy as he cowered on the ground until his eyes filled up with tears. "I didn't do anything to you! Leave me alone !” Despite the fact that he had been beaten nearly senseless by Timmy several times before, Tommy couldn't help but fall in love with the little Labradoodle who stood there looking at him with love in his eyes.
